Scuba Duka Diving Center
The SSI Emergency First Response courses are meticulously designed to impart fundamental first aid and emergency care principles, catering to a wide audience beyond just divers. The primary care (CPR) course emphasizes the identification and management of life-threatening situations, such as cardiac arrest and choking, equipping participants with the necessary skills to perform CPR and effectively use an automated external defibrillator (AED). In contrast, the secondary care (first aid) course addresses a comprehensive range of medical emergencies, including the management of bleeding, fractures, and shock, while also teaching basic first aid techniques and the proper use of first aid equipment.
Both courses prioritize hands-on, interactive learning, making them invaluable not only for personal safety but also as prerequisites for advanced diving programs, such as the SSI Divemaster and Instructor Development courses. Participation in these courses significantly enhances confidence and preparedness in emergency situations, ultimately contributing to a safer community.
