You need four things from a guest: their name, whether they have dived before, which morning they want, and a phone number. Send those and we will handle the rest directly with them.

Where we collect from

Hotel pickup and return is included at no extra charge across the standard area. Anywhere outside it is arranged case by case, and we give you a realistic pickup time.

Diani Beach

Our own beach. Shortest pickup.

Diving in Diani →
Galu Beach

Immediately south. Short run.

Galu →
Tiwi Beach

North of Diani. Earlier pickup.

Tiwi →
Ukunda

Inland town and airstrip.

Ukunda →
Further afield

Mombasa and beyond arranged case by case. Ask before promising a guest a time.

Selected nearby accommodation outside these four areas is also covered. If you are not sure whether you are in the standard area, send the property name and we will tell you in one message.

Where our guests stay

A working list built from bookings we have run, not from a directory. Pickup across Diani, Galu, Tiwi and Ukunda is included wherever you are staying, whether or not it appears here.

Staying somewhere else, or not booked yet?

We are happy to help you book anywhere along Diani Beach Road, in Diani Beach itself or the surrounding areas — tell us the sort of place you want and the budget, and we will point you at somewhere that suits the diving week you are planning.

And if you have already booked, just send the property name. If it is within our pickup area, collection is included.

Properties are named here only with their agreement. If you run a hotel, villa or cottage on this coast and would like to be on this list, message us — there is nothing to sign.

What to tell a guest at the desk

The six answers that come up at reception, so nobody has to guess on our behalf.

“Can I dive if I have never dived?”

Yes — Try Scuba needs no certification and no experience, from age 8. Half a day, instructor beside them the whole time.

“How much is it?”

Quoted directly to the guest in USD or Kenya Shillings with inclusions in writing. Please do not quote a figure on our behalf.

“What is included?”

Instructor or guide, all equipment, boat and crew, pickup and return, fruit and water. Park and certification fees are confirmed separately.

“What time?”

Mornings, and the exact pickup time depends on the tide. We confirm it with the guest the day before.

“Can the children come?”

From 8 for Try Scuba, from 10 for junior certification, subject to fit and guardian consent. Snorkelling for everybody else.

“What if the sea is rough?”

We change the site, move the time or reschedule. The guest is never charged for a dive we called off.

Choosing where to stay for the diving

We are not a booking agency and we take no view on which hotel is nicest. What we can tell you is which properties make a 6am pickup straightforward and which access roads add twenty minutes — worth asking before you book a room rather than after.
