Robinson Island sits off Kenya’s South Coast, surrounded by shallow, warm water and coral reef. Our Scuba Duka Experience Tour takes you there on our own boats, with a DJ playing live music on the way out and back. Our crew and guides look after you in the water, point out marine life and keep the group together. Between swims you can relax on deck with drinks and fresh fruit. No experience is needed, and the trip suits families, couples and groups of friends. See all our diving and snorkelling experiences.
Return boat transfer to Robinson Island on our boats, Nia and Tai, with an experienced skipper and crew.
A DJ plays live on board, so the ride out and back is part of the experience.
Cold drinks and drinking water on board throughout the trip.
A platter of fresh seasonal fruit served between snorkels.
Life jackets in adult and child sizes for everyone on board and in the water.
Clean, well-maintained snorkels and masks, fitted by our crew before you get in.
Underwater
The reefs around Robinson Island are shallow and clear, so you can see a lot from the surface. Sightings are never guaranteed, but these are what our guides look for.
Butterflyfish, Moorish idols, parrotfish and schools of colourful tropical fish.
Green and hawksbill turtles feed and rest on the reefs along the South Coast.
Blue-spotted stingrays often rest on the sand between coral heads.
Hard and soft coral gardens in shallow water, home to most of the life you’ll see.

You should be comfortable in the water, but you don’t need to be a strong swimmer. Everyone wears a life jacket, which keeps you floating at the surface, and our guides stay with the group.
Yes. We have child-sized life jackets and masks. Children must be accompanied by an adult on the boat and in the water.
Swimwear, a towel, reef-safe sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. A rash vest or T-shirt helps protect you from the sun while snorkelling. Snorkels, masks, life jackets, drinks and fruit are provided.
Glasses don’t fit under a mask. Contact lenses are fine. Let us know in advance and we’ll do our best to help.
Safety comes first. If sea or weather conditions are unsafe, we’ll move your trip to another day or refund you.
No. Coral is a living animal and is easily damaged. Please look without touching, don’t feed the fish and keep a respectful distance from turtles and rays.
Yes. Friends and family who don’t want to snorkel are welcome to stay on board and enjoy the music, drinks and fruit.
